Mystery Writer Frankie Y Bailey leads a life of crime

By day she is a criminal justice professor at the University at Albany. By night Frankie Bailey can be found stepping out of the academic world and into the fictional realm of her mystery novels.

Frankie enjoys incorporating her knowledge of criminal history into her mystery novels. She says she finds it "easy to bounce back and forth, because nonfiction finds its way into fiction." Criminal justice may be a very serious subject to Professor Bailey, but Frankie the author likes being able to have some creative fun with her work. Part of that fun is to keep the reader guessing, a fact that is evident in Frankie's three current mystery novels, Death's Favorite Child, A Dead Man's Honor, and Old Murders.
