Writers in the Spotlight

I've had several recent conversations with readers who asked me questions about African American mystery writers.

At the suggestion of one of those writers, I am going to use my website to give African American mystery writers more exposure. Every Monday, in my "Research Notes," I will post a brief essay spotlighting a writer and his/her work. The essays will appear in chronological order from the early 20th century to the present. The material will be drawn from my book African American Mystery Writers: A Historical and Thematic Study (McFarland, 2008).
